The list of the films qualified to competition as well the titles qualified to off-competition screenings at the 5th Edition of the Quest Europe Festival are ready to announce.

The contest entry deadline has expired May 15th.There were submitted altogether 157 projects from several European countries. The members of selection committee have already seen 96 of them. The most interesting films are real gems! The list of qualified films will be known till the end of May.

We are delighted to announce that one of the most distinguished Polish film directors - Mr. Jerzy Hoffman as well as Mr. Pan Jerzy Michaluk - a producer and vice president of ZODIAK Film Production have both accepted invitation to take part in the Festival's final events which will be held on 4 to 6 September 2009 in NYSA Cinema in Zielona Góra.
During the Festival's final event Jerzy Hoffman's newest movie "UKRAINA - NARODZINY NARODU" will be presented. Furthermore an official meeting with the director will take place.

We have the pleasure to inform that beginning from this year's Festival edition the partner of Quest Europe Festival is prestigious international ALTER - NATIVE Festival which has been held in Romania for 18 years. Owing to the cooperation of both festivals we will have opportunity to see in Zielona Góra the most interesting independent films from Eastern Europe awarded at the ALTER -NATIVE Festival.
In turn the Quest Europe award-winning films are going to be presented during special screenings in Romania.

RULES OF QUEST EUROPE 2009

The organizers will cover the stay in Zielona Gora (accommodation and meals, two nights) for two persons from each team qualifying for the film competition, and ensure free participation in all the shows and events.
